The Clewn collective started in 2012 and is the proud hosting of various noncommercial projects, mostly related to music and art, ever since. It's an emanation from c0c, which started in 1997 as a noncommercial music label providing online music to the audience. c0c changed its name over time and has been knewn later as ZC Virtual Netlabel, SLCNC Music, and since 2015 Crem Road records.

Ran without any formal structure and edited by an individual, with help of a bunch of old pals, Clewn is funded by donations. Costs are lightweight. Electricity, basic internet access, and computer hardware (software we use is always libre and free) excepted, the collective currently needs less than €300 per year, to live. For websites hosting and all our domain names in use. Not much.

While they can donate just for donating (please refer to Clewn's homepage if it's your case), some of them may also want to get the small countergift that we provide to thank them for the money: being listed on litterally thousands of pages, most of them with unique content, and all of them with good ranking history. At anytime you can just ask us to remove your site from our listing. Just contact us (see contact email at the bottom of this page), we'll schedule a simple online text chat, make sure you are really you, and delete your site from the listing.

Sure there's one. The listing is displayed on thousands of pages but space on screen is not infinite. Then, randomly, a part only of our listed supporters are indicated. Upon search engine crawls, these supporters are noticed by search engines. The random part is not completely random, however: the more the amount of the donation is high, the highest is the probability that a particular site gets displayed. A bigger donation means a more effective SEO boost than an smaller one.
